Prayers take place strictly at 2.30 pm, apart from
Wednesdays and Fridays, when they occur at 9.30 am.
They are read by the Speaker's Chaplain, and no
members of the public are present during these few
minutes when the Speaker and her Chaplain kneel at
the Table of the House. The Speaker then takes the chair,
to open the day's business.
